Debbie YJ Lin (dbyj) is a Chinese Canadian Californian audio visual artist interested in site specific collaborative work focused in the architecture of human sound and languages. She is originally from Taipei and currently based in Los Angeles where she consults in creative expressions, directs a gallery and is producing a virtual pop up micro art residency: gather.art. She works with sound, found, upcycled, and emerging mediums to transcribe the transience of thought, memory and emotion through the lens of Faith and technology. She studied music education, production and technology at UCLA and Berklee College of Music and media studies at The New School of Public Engagement. Her works have either been shown and/or privately collected in the US, Canada, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Germany, Spain, Israel and Sweden.
